Moog Bradford will manufacture satellite sun sensors designed and developed by TNO under a licensing agreement announced March 25 by the two Netherlands-based organizations.

Moog Bradford, a Dutch subsidiary of East Aurora, N.Y.-based Moog Space and Defense Group, will have exclusive rights to produce four types of TNO-designed sun sensors, which typically are used to help satellites orient themselves, according to a press release. TNO, which describes itself as an independent research organization with both government and commercial customers, will continue to produce sun sensors that are tailor made to unique missions or which utilize new technology, the organizations said.

The agreement was signed Feb. 6, the organizations said. Moog Bradford and TNO have been collaborating on sun sensor design since 2005, they said.
