Wyle has targeted an expansion of its human health and performance related services to a wide range of Federal agencies and commercial customers based on the success the company has had in the past 40 years providing life sciences and other advanced human support services to the space program.
“We’re specifically expanding our capabilities to offer comprehensive health and human performance and engineering services with an emphasis on risk and risk mitigation,” said Bob Ellis, group president of Wyle’s Houston-based Integrated Science and Engineering Group, which was recently renamed from the Life Sciences Group.
“We’re confident that other Federal and commercial customers can benefit from the integrated science, engineering and operations capabilities we’ve developed over the years of putting men and women into highly challenging environments and helping them successfully meet their mission objectives.”
Wyle is specifically targeting science and engineering opportunities both with its current Department of Defense and NASA customers, and in other military and civil Federal agencies and with commercial customers in the emerging commercial space flight industry.
Wyle’s experience in mission critical environments, including support for NASA’s Space Shuttle, International Space Station and human research programs, has resulted in a comprehensive approach to problem solving designed to meet customers’ needs.
From rotating bioreactors to human-rated centrifuges, and most recently to systems engineering support for NASA’s Constellation Program, Wyle offers a unique integration of services. The result is an end-to-end solution from concept through design, development, test and evaluation, culminating in mission execution in a cost and safety conscious manner.
