Russia successfully launched a cluster of three military satellites Jan. 15 aboard a Rockot rocket equipped with the Breeze-M upper stage, according to a press release from the rocket’s Moscow-based builder, Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center.
The launch, Russia’s first of the year, occurred from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia, Khrunichev said.
According to a Russian-language press release from the Russian space agency, the satellites were built by the ISS Reshetnev manufacturing and design bureau.
