Orbital ATK, Inc. (NYSE: OA), a global leader in aerospace and defense technologies, will display its wide range of satellite and space launch, propulsion and logistics technologies during the Satellite 2016 conference and exhibition. The conference is being held March 7-10 at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Orbital ATK’s display is located at Booth 1430 in exhibit hall D.

“For nearly 20 years, we have been an innovator in the commercial satellite market,” said Frank Culbertson, President of Orbital ATK’s Space Systems Group. “This year in our Satellite 2016 booth, visitors can learn about our extensive satellite capabilities and our broader space and flight systems portfolios. We will feature our ability to design, build and deliver innovative products to orbit for a variety of commercial and government customers around the world.”

Specific satellite systems on display include Orbital ATK’s GEOStar-2 and GEOStar-3 geostationary Earth-orbit (GEO) communications satellite platforms as well as the company’s medium-, small- and microsatellite-class systems primarily used in low-Earth orbit (LEO). Also featured will be small national security satellite systems like the GEOStar-1, RapidStar-1 and RapidStar-2. Alongside these platforms, Orbital ATK will highlight an innovative satellite servicing technology, the Gemini Mission Extension Vehicle (MEV) which is being built for the ViviSat venture. The MEV delivers in-orbit satellite life-extension service to nearly all GEO satellites and offers a flexible hosted payload capability.

New to the Orbital ATK booth this year will be the company’s space launch vehicles, propulsion systems and space logistics services. The launch vehicles will include Orbital ATK’s Antares, Minotaur and Pegasus vehicles, all of which use commercially available propulsion. These three vehicles are the industry standard for boosting small payloads to orbit. The booth will also include a special profile on Orbital ATK’s ESPAStar-1 spacecraft, which offers delivery of small satellites to LEO or GEO orbit. In addition, the booth will feature the company’s enhanced Cygnus™ spacecraft, which carries crew supplies, equipment and scientific experiments to the International Space Station.

Also on display are products that showcase Orbital ATK as a leading supplier of spacecraft components on domestic and international platforms. Those products include bus structures, antenna reflectors, solar array systems, space thermal hardware, deployables and propulsion tanks.

Visitors to the Orbital ATK exhibit will have the opportunity to learn more about all of the company’s advanced, flight-proven product lines through animated videos, fact sheets and product models within the company’s booth. Additionally, Orbital ATK subject matter experts will be available to answer questions and provide additional information.
