Runners and exercise enthusiasts seeking the latest in state-of-the-art exercise technology are invited to visit the NASA Goes the Distance exhibit this Friday and Saturday at the Austin Marathon Health & Fitness Expo at the Palmer Event Center. NASA’s exhibit will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The exhibit will be located in Hall 2, Booth 645.

Exhibit visitors can learn firsthand how and why astronauts exercise in space. NASA developed sports-related technology will be showcased along with information about living and working on the International Space Station.

Complementing the exhibit will be presentations given by NASA representatives at four Austin area Harmony charter schools on Friday morning. NASA representatives will share with students the excitement of space exploration and the importance of science, technology, engineering and math education.
