Inaugural US-Brazil Space Summit in Washington DC

On March 18th, the CompTIA Space Enterprise Council and the Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo (FIESP) will be hosting the inaugural US-Brazil Space Summit on the occasion of President Jair Bolsonaro’s visit to Washington DC. The Summit will take place at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC. Current Brazilian Ambassador to the United States Sergio Amaral will provide opening remarks followed by senior level US and Brazilian government officials discussing the current state of affairs and future possibilities for US-Brazil space cooperation. Remarks are expected from the White House, Department of Commerce, and the Department of Defense. Brazilian Senator Roberto Rocha will be providing a Congressional perspective on the emerging US-Brazil space partnership. Colonel Cláudio Olany, Head of Space Systems, Committee for the Coordination and Implementation of Space Systems, Brazilian Air Force will provide a keynote on Brazil’s vision for a commercial future in space.
