China launched an experimental spacecraft and a navigation satellite on separate Long March rockets that lifted off two days apart from different launch centers, according to China’s state-run Xinhua news agency.
A Long March 3A rocket launched July 27 from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province carrying a Beidou/Compass navigation satellite.
A Long March 2C launched July 29 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China’s Gansu Province carrying an experimental Shijian SJ-11-02 satellite built by China Space Co. Ltd. under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp.
