Brian Berger


Brian Berger is SpaceNews editor-in-chief, responsible for all SpaceNews editorial products, including SpaceNews.com and the biweekly magazine.

He joined SpaceNews in 1998, spending his first decade with the publication covering NASA. His reporting on the 2003 Space Shuttle Columbia accident was recognized with an Online News Association award for breaking news.

He was named senior staff writer in 2004, a position he held until becoming SpaceNews deputy editor in 2008. 

Brian earned a bachelor's degree in magazine production and editing from Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. 

Jeff Foust

Jeff Foust writes about space policy, commercial space, and related topics for SpaceNews.

He earned a Ph.D. in planetary sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree with honors in geophysics and planetary science from the California Institute of Technology.

Sandra Erwin

Senior Staff Writer

Sandra Erwin writes about military space programs, policy, technology and the industry that supports this sector.

She has covered the military, the Pentagon, Congress and the defense industry for nearly two decades as editor of NDIA’s National Defense Magazine and Pentagon correspondent for Real Clear Defense.

Jason Rainbow

Jason Rainbow writes about satellite telecom, space finance and commercial markets for SpaceNews.

He has spent more than a decade covering the global space industry as a business journalist. Previously, he was Group Editor-in-Chief for Finance Information Group, including its industry publication Connectivity Business (formerly SatelliteFinance and TelecomFinance).


Debra Werner

Silicon Valley Correspondent

Debra Werner is a correspondent for SpaceNews based in San Francisco.
Debra earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. She is a recipient of the 1989 Gerald Ford Prize for Distinguished Reporting on National Defense. Her SN Commercial Drive newsletter is sent out Wednesdays.

Andrew Jones

Andrew Jones covers China's space industry for SpaceNews. Andrew has previously lived in China and reported from major space conferences there. Based in Helsinki, Finland, he has written for National Geographic, New Scientist, Smithsonian Magazine, Sky & Telescope, IEEE Spectrum, and The Wire China.

Leonard David

Leonard David has been reporting on space activities for nearly 50 years. He is the 2010 winner of the prestigious National Space Club Press Award and recently co-authored with Apollo 11’s Buzz Aldrin the book “Mission to Mars — My Vision for Space Exploration,” published by the National Geographic Society.

Andrew Parsonson

Andrew Parsonson is based in Valetta, Malta, and has been covering the space industry since 2017.

David Pugliese

Canadian Correspondent

David Pugliese covers space policy and developments in the space industry in Canada. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and a degree in journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.

Park Si-soo

Seoul correspondent

Park Si-soo covers space industries in South Korea, Japan and other Asian countries. Park worked at The Korea Times — South Korea's leading English language newspaper — from 2007 to 2020. He earned a master’s degree in science journalism from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a bachelor’s degree in business from Hanyang University. Follow him on LinkedIn.


Greg Thomas


Greg Thomas is a co-owner of SpaceNews. Greg is also a member of SpaceNews’ Board of Directors. Greg's experience spans both print and digital businesses.

Before joining SpaceNews, he served as COO of Inside Communciations, a sports publishing company based in Boulder, Colorado. During Greg’s tenure at Inside Communications, he was responsible for leading the company through a digital transformation and was instrumental in leading the company to profitability and growth. Previously Greg served in a number of roles for Quokka Sports, Interval Research Corporation, and Apple Computer.

Paige McCullough

Business Development Director

Paige McCullough is the business development director for SpaceNews.

She comes to SpaceNews from a corporate communications position within the commercial launch industry.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business.

Kamal Flucker

Business Development Manager

Kamal Flucker is a Business Development Manager at SpaceNews bringing over 20 years of experience to the SpaceNews team. Over the years, Kamal has worked for and with Fortune 5 companies to local business as well as government/military agencies and nonprofits. With a plethora of notable awards, Kamal brings a depth of knowledge that is unique to his experiences. Kamal is a graduate of Howard University majoring in journalism with a concentration in advertising. Kamal enjoys traveling and fishing but more importantly spending time with his family.

Tony Kingham

Advertising Representative for China, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Taiwan, Singapore, Austria, Denmark, Finland, India, Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom

Tony Kingham is the sales representative for SpaceNews in Europe (excluding France, Italy and Spain) and all international business outside the Americas.

He has represented SpaceNews in Europe for more than 14 years.

He has worked within the space, defense and security markets for more than 25 years, is the publisher of a number of online directory products as well as organizer of specialist conferences and expos.

Emmanuel Archambeaud

Advertising Representative for France, Italy, Spain

Emmanuel Archambeaud is working in the SpaceNews team since February 1991 and is the manager of advertising sales in European countries like France, Italy, and Spain. He is responsible for business development for major accounts at SpaceNews and SpaceNews.com.

Following attendance at University of La Sorbonne in Paris with a master’s degree, he worked as a key account manager in an advertising agency becoming partner of the advertising agency before joining his actual company. Based in Paris, Emmanuel always worked with experienced media spanning both print and digital businesses.

Pam Washburn

Accounting Specialist

Pam Washburn is the accounting assistant for SpaceNews. She applies payments and sends customer invoices and statements. She interacts with customers or their agencies to assist as needed, and for collection purposes.

She has worked in the accounting field for 42 years.
